Meet Katrina

Working together to improve Weber County.

Katrina Gibson is a lifelong resident of Weber County with deep roots that extend from the east to the west sides of the county. She was raised in Ogden Valley and moved to the west side, where she and her husband raised six capable, hardworking children who are now adults actively contributing to their communities.

For more than 20 years, Katrina worked alongside her husband on a sixth-generation dairy farm. She was often seen operating tractors and corn trucks, managing bookkeeping, and helping oversee day-to-day operations. She also played a key role in building and managing a large-scale agritourism operation, helping create a corn maze that grew from approximately 12,000 visitors to more than 75,000 attendees in just a few years. In that role, Katrina helped manage up to 60 employees, coordinated vendors, handled purchasing, and organized the events and activities surrounding the attraction, experience that required strong leadership, budgeting, logistics, and personnel management.

Katrina has been deeply involved in agriculture, church, and community leadership throughout her life. She and her husband chaired the American Farm Bureau Federation National Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee, and in 2001 they were honored as Top Young Farmers in the Nation. Katrina has also served on the boards of Win Win Women, the Weber County Republican Party, and Weber County Republican Women.

An entrepreneur and business woman, Katrina is the owner, curator, and operator of several businesses in the Ogden area, including trucking, yard care services, restaurants, and government consulting services. Her work has given her real-world experience in payroll, compliance, budgeting, contracting, and long-term planning.

Katrina has also assisted in numerous successful political campaigns at the local, county, and state levels, helping direct strategy, manage operations, and track campaign finances. Her understanding of the legislative and county processes gives her a strong foundation for addressing the needs of county residents and taxpayers. A graduate of Weber State University, Katrina loves Weber County and values the wide range of outdoor recreation and community opportunities it offers. She especially enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and passing on the lessons of responsibility, service, and hard work. Katrina will be an advocate for responsible leadership, transparency, and strong communities. She is running for Weber County Commission to bring steady, practical decision-making to county government at a time when growth, water, housing, and public safety demand long-term thinking.

Katrina believes county government works best when decisions are made openly, based on facts and an adopted plan, not pressure or politics. She is focused on the core responsibilities of the County Commission: public safety, infrastructure, fiscal stewardship, and coordination with state and city governments to ensure Weber County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Known for her thoughtful, disciplined approach, Katrina values clear rules, honest tradeoffs, and accountability to taxpayers. She supports responsible growth that pays its own way, protects water resources, and preserves quality of life for current and future residents. She also believes public trust is earned through transparency, ethical governance, and consistency. Katrina brings real-world experience, independence, and a commitment to public service grounded in integrity. She is running not to defend the status quo, but to ensure Weber County is prepared for the challenges ahead, today and for the next generation.
